- 1 cup sugar
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened

Method
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a saucepan, melt the sugar over medium heat until it turns into a caramel sauce. Pour the sauce into the cake pan, spreading it evenly over the bottom of the pan.
- In a bowl, beat the cream cheese with a mixer until it is creamy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Add the condensed milk, evaporated milk, and vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture. Whisk until everything is well combined.
- Pour the mixture into the cake pan over the caramel sauce.
- Place the cake pan into a larger baking dish and fill the larger dish with enough water to reach halfway up the sides of the cake pan.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the flan comes out clean.
- Remove the cake pan from the water bath and let it cool down.
- Cover the cake pan with plastic wrap and chill it in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight.
- When ready to serve, run a knife around the edges of the flan and then invert it onto a plate. The caramel sauce will be on top.
Notes
