Ingredients

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Season the pork neckbones with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a Dutch oven or large pot over medium heat.
  4. Add the pork neckbones and cook for 5-7 minutes or until browned on all sides.
  5. Remove the pork neckbones from the pot and set aside.
  6. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot and sauté for 2-3 minutes or until the onion is translucent.

  8. Return the pork neckbones to the pot and cover with a lid.

  10. Remove the pot from the oven and let it sit for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

This recipe can also be made in a slow cooker. Simply brown the pork neckbones in a pan and then place them in the slow cooker with the remaining ingredients. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
