Ingredients

Method

  4. In a small bowl, mix the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt until the sugar dissolves.
  5. Add the mixture to the rice and mix well.
  6. Divide the rice into 4 portions and place each portion on a piece of cling wrap.
  7. Using the cling wrap, shape the rice into a square and flatten it.
  8. Cook the hamburger patties in a non-stick frying pan until they are cooked through.
  9. Place a slice of cheese on each patty and let it melt.
  10. To assemble the burgers, place a lettuce leaf on one rice patty, then add a hamburger patty with cheese, sliced tomatoes, a tablespoon of mayonnaise, and a tablespoon of ketchup.
  11. Cover the burger with another rice patty and use the cling wrap to shape it into a square.
  12. Repeat with the remaining ingredients to make 4 burgers.
  13. Let the burgers chill in the fridge for 10-15 minutes before serving.

If you don't have a rice cooker, you can cook the rice on the stove using a pot with a tight-fitting lid.
