- 2 cups of Japanese short-grain rice

- 4 hamburger patties
- 4 slices of cheese
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 2 tomatoes, sliced
- 4 tablespoons of mayonnaise
- 4 tablespoons of ketchup

- Cling wrap

Method
- Rinse the rice until the water runs clear, then let it soak for 30 minutes.
- Drain the rice and add it to the rice cooker with 2 cups of water.
- Once the rice is cooked, let it cool for a few minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt until the sugar dissolves.
- Add the mixture to the rice and mix well.
- Divide the rice into 4 portions and place each portion on a piece of cling wrap.
- Using the cling wrap, shape the rice into a square and flatten it.
- Cook the hamburger patties in a non-stick frying pan until they are cooked through.
- Place a slice of cheese on each patty and let it melt.
- To assemble the burgers, place a lettuce leaf on one rice patty, then add a hamburger patty with cheese, sliced tomatoes, a tablespoon of mayonnaise, and a tablespoon of ketchup.
- Cover the burger with another rice patty and use the cling wrap to shape it into a square.
- Repeat with the remaining ingredients to make 4 burgers.
- Let the burgers chill in the fridge for 10-15 minutes before serving.
