Method
Here are the steps to make Jeera Ghee Rice:- Wash the basmati rice until the water runs clear and soak it for 20-30 minutes.
- Heat the ghee in a pot and add the cumin seeds, cloves, bay leaves, and cinnamon stick. Let them sizzle for a few seconds.
- Add the soaked basmati rice and stir well until the rice is coated with ghee and the spices.
- Add 4 cups of water and salt to taste. Stir well.
- Bring the water to a boil and then reduce the heat to low. Cover the pot with a tight-fitting lid and let the rice cook for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed.
