  2. Add water gradually and knead the mixture into a smooth dough.
  3. Take a murukku press and place the dough inside it.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan and press the dough through the murukku press into the hot oil.
  5. Fry until the murukku turns golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove from the oil and drain excess oil with a slotted spoon.
  7. Repeat the same process with the remaining dough.

b. Pappu Chekkalu

  4. Flatten it using a rolling pin or your hands into a small circular shape.

  6. Fry until the chekkalu turns golden brown and crispy.
  7. Remove from the oil and drain excess oil with a slotted spoon.
  8. Repeat the same process with the remaining dough.
  9. Store the pappu chekkalu in an airtight container once it cools down.
