- 1 cup rice flour
- 1/2 cup urad dal flour
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds

- 2 cups water

- A non-stick skillet or a dosa tawa
- A ladle
Method
- In a mixing bowl, add rice flour, urad dal flour, cumin seeds and salt. Mix well.
- Add water gradually to make a smooth and runny batter. Whisk well to remove any lumps.
- Cover the bowl with a lid and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Heat a non-stick skillet or a dosa tawa on medium-high heat.
- Pour a ladleful of batter on the hot skillet and spread it in a circular motion to make a thin dosa.
- Add a few drops of oil around the edges of the dosa and on top of it.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the edges start to turn brown and the top is cooked.
- Flip the dosa using a spatula and cook for another minute on the other side.
- Remove the dosa from the skillet and serve hot with chutney, sambar or any other side dish.
- Repeat the process with the remaining batter to make more dosas.
Notes
- If you don't have urad dal flour, you can grind urad dal in a mixer grinder to make the flour.
- You can add chopped onions, green chillies, coriander leaves or any other vegetables of your choice to the batter to make the dosa more flavourful.
- Make sure the skillet is hot before pouring the batter. Otherwise, the dosa will stick to the skillet.
