Method
The method to make Rice Chana Dal Dhokla is as follows:- Soak the rice and chana dal separately for 2-3 hours.
- Drain the excess water and grind the rice and chana dal together to form a smooth batter.
- Add yogurt, ginger paste, green chili paste, sugar, and salt to the batter and mix well.
- Add fruit salt to the batter and mix well. The batter will become frothy.
- Pour the batter into a greased thali or dhokla plate and steam for 15-20 minutes.
- Insert a toothpick in the center of the dhokla to check if it's cooked. If the toothpick comes out clean, the dhokla is cooked.
- Heat oil in a saucepan and add mustard seeds, sesame seeds and green chilies. Let it splutter.
- Pour this tadka over the dhokla and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
- Cut the dhokla into pieces and serve hot with green chutney or tomato ketchup.

- Make sure to soak the rice and chana dal for at least 2-3 hours to get a smooth batter.
- Do not overmix the batter after adding fruit salt as it will lose its frothiness.
